Same for me at work, I cant even send e.mail to a yahoo address, they are
'filtered' out. We cant access Hotmail as it is classed as a virus risk -
you are more likely to get a virus through e.mail, just having your e.mail
address out there somewhere puts you at risk, I get 2-3 virus attempts per
week. Wouldn't be without the Norton AV, anyone that sends and receives
e.mail to/from a newsgroup type of thing is being a bit irresponsible not
having virus protection.
Officially I'm not allowed to use the work e.mail for 'personal' use, but
they wont allow me to access Yahoo to unsubscribe, so I get about 50 mails
per day! The whole work internet/e.mail thing is getting out of hand, we are
allowed to use it in our own time, but the timer still ticks, why not just
take it away? Its just another sackable offence?
Steamy talk, I'm not doing any, unfortunately, I do have plans for a 14xx
tank and the coach from the Titfield Thunderbolt. But..........in 7 1/4"! I
have all the Model Engineers for the loco drawings and have a plan for the
coach from the GERS. They do some nice drawings if anyone has plans for a
GER loco.
