Thanks. I should not have used the word 'elitist' - sorry.
Perhaps 'shy', 'secretive', 'hiding under a bushel', but
not 'elitist'.

To answer your question as to 'what I am about', I am a life-long
LNWR enthusiast and acquired the mortal remains of a Carson
Experiment about two years ago which I have still not managed to
complete. This was my introduction to Gauge 3 and I like it. To go
with the loco I have made a few goods wagons during this last year
and sell these as kits, so I suppose that puts me firmly in the Gauge
3 camp and I don't pretend to be an engineer.

I have no experience of building a live steam loco (built several
electric ones in 7mm scale), but the old Carson is helping me to
learn fast, and learning is why I joined this group.

Don't forget that links can only be put in if someone out there knows one. There is very little on the net for 2 1/2" gauge, even less before David started...
