Depends on your view I suppose. A scratch built GNR Atlantic with
some basic bits missing and sold unseen for £400 sounds on the high
side, but an A3 for £360 complete but in need of a rebuild seems
quite good to me. La Fayette was bought by a trader who now
advertises it for more, so perhaps he knows more then we do. There
are some other bits still on there which seem quite cheap. Maybe the
mortal and very incomplete remains of a Carson LNWR Experiment was a
bit expensive, but there was a reason for that - I bought it!
I do notice that 2 1/2in models don't seem to hang around on dealers'
lists as long as the larger models.
