John, thanks for your comments. I have just revised the layout (and
uploaded new version into the Files) to show, that with all the
flanges and a bit more side play on bogie and the last axle this loco
should manage 16ft radius. I don't want to remove flanges a)because of
fear of wheels dropping in and b)because it is supposed to be scale
model of the real thing.

Hi Chris, That would make an interesting project. A 2-10-0 should be no more difficult than any other loco apart from all those knuckle joints on the coupling...
