Regulator needs attention   Message List

Hi all,

The regulator on my pacific tank has just come loose so it does not
open or close the steam-chest valve to admit steam to cylinder, it is
a screw-type regulator. Does anyone have a cross-section of this
type of regulator so I can see wether or not it is just a straight
rod from the cab control lever going directly through a nut into the
valve or if not, what it looks like so I can ascertain how to fix it.
Basically when I move the regulator side to side is is very smooth
and there is no start-stop point. The acctual regulator lever in the
cab seems able to just pull right out from the backhead!

Any help would be much appreciated!

Regards

Bryn
