Re: DRAWINGS

Hi,

I have just joined the 2.5" association and this forum today, I have
been woking on a 2.5" rebuilt MN from the original 5" articals. I have
design the vaious parts to be near to the origanal scale down
and 'simplified' and 'beefed up' for the smaller scale.

I expext you know the outside motion bracket on the 5" design is the
for a rebuilt WW/BB and needs changing see page 33 of Bullied
Power 'The Merchant navy class' by A.J.Fry, for the correct profile.

Also note you have 4 tender options for your model the 6000 gal that is
in the 5" design generally applies to the last 10 built.

You need the 5000 gal, 5100 gal and the BR re-tanked 5000 gal, to make
you model that bit extra. I have roughed out the tanks and 3 tender
chasis but no worked up drawing ou could distribute.

Regards
Simon.

From reading his articles, all of Keiths published designs have minor and serious errors. I'd never build a design as it was being serialised unless I knew the...
