Hi there,
It depends what you mean by albino: if you mean a strict genetic albino, then the usual one in most mammals, damage on the "c" locus of the gene, has never been observed in the Syrian hamster: usually white with pink eyes arises from a combination of genes which progressively blank out all colour ormation, whilst th cinnamon gene puts in pink eyes, and a pink eyed white animal occurs. This is probably what you have: mate it to anothe pink eyed white and it will breed true.
In Campbell's russian dwarf, pink eyed whites can come from two sources: cross black eyed whites with argente ( brown with pink eyes) , and cross back the offspring, and you will find a few pink eyed whites which will then breed true.
Genuine genetic albinos are almost indistinguishable from these, but cross a pink eye white campbells with a genuint "c" locus albino and you will get normal lookinng offspring!!:
cc X Sididiaa leads to animals which are CcSisiDidiAa and all look normal
Great fun
