"A couple of months ago we managed to get a Swansea Hard of Hearing
Group off the ground. We have had two meetings with good support from
an RNID Development worker with 8 or 9 people turning up each time.
Well, it's a start.
The eventual aim is to get a lip reading class going even if it has to
be a DIY group effort with dvd's. Meanwhile the aim is mainly to be a
monthly semi-social meeting to exchange views, experiences with
hearing aids, telephones etc.
We need more members so I got on to the guy who has just set up a
small community radio station in part of Swansea. 'Come along on
Monday morning and say your piece on air', he says. So, if any of you
want to hear me make a fool of myself, you can listen on-line just
after 9 a.m. at http://www.radiotircoed.com/ Monday 12th January ".
