Hi guys, actually getting organised in advance here (wow!) the boys have
spent a large chunk of this evening making shadow puppets, and it has
inspired some web surfing in me, and I wondered if you thought that this
might work for the next session :
Craft : making silhouette shadow puppets, or ones with cut out sections
covered with tissue paper to create coloured shadows.
Info sheet about the history of shadow puppetry in various cultures
(nothing too heavy, but could include some traditional stories etc?)
Info sheet with 'how to' for various hand shadow puppet (I've found
about 10 different hand shadows so far)
A large white sheet in the side room with a powerful lamp to act as a
screen for the kids to have a go with whichever puppets they want to
try?
If they are feeling particularly creative we may get another 'free form'
sort of show, or an adult could narrate one of the traditional stories
and they cold 'do' the puppets, or we could just back off and let them
have fun however they wished?
How does that sound?
