Well, should I be the first brave soul to reply?? ;)
Firstly, we are so sorry to have you and the children (and Darrell!) leave - we will miss you!!!! but we are very excited about this opportunity which has presented itself for you. I am sure you will love the quieter town life of Milton Keynes and the bigger house!!
It will be sad if the Hayes/Northolt group has to close, but unfortunately sometimes these things happen. I have considered helping out with the running of the group (not that I was asked, mind you! LOL), but it is not something I could handle right now. My plate seems more than full at the moment.
About the Fridays... I don't think this would be an option for us personally, in the long term. If it were just until October, then we might be able to do that... but if that were the suggestion for October and beyond, I don't think we could commit to attending regularly... and it would depend a lot on the times as well. (Liam has piano lessons Friday afternoon).
As far as the long term of the group, would having a shorter session help someone else to commit to running the group? Perhaps just from 12:30/1pm to 3pm? or something like that?
I think the 1/2 subs and wind-up party is a great idea... it sounds like a lot of fun :D Unfortunately, we won't be there this week though, as Jason has the week off and we are going sight-seeing every day.

Hi all, I think it's time for some decisions to be made regarding the
future of our group. There are three factors we need to look at here :
I will be moving at some point in October, the precise date is not yet
know but it could be the beginning of the month. (this could fall
through, but I think we need to assume it won't for the moment).
No one has stepped forward to take responsibility for running the group
- I fully understand that we all have a lot to deal with - having taken
responsibility for educating our kids we need to put them first, so
please do not think I feel any negativity about this point. I think
that the worst thing would be for someone to take on the group and then
not feel happy / comfortable with it, or not have time etc.
The church have asked if we can switch to Fridays.
bearing all this in mind I think that, unless someone has a better plan,
the best way forward is to make a definite decision, so that we can all
make our plans accordingly.
I propose that I collect half subs, since they are now due, which cover
the next three sessions - one more in August and two in September - and
then have a big party, ending on a high note. At the moment we have
around ten families a session, so if we all pay £10, then we will have
around £30 for activities / supplies for the final session.
I would love for the group to continue after I am gone (:( but I think
that we need to be realistic about whether that is feasible. I do,
however, think that we can and should still use this email group to
organise visits / park days / meet ups etc.
So, any thoughts?

"Your sorrow itself shall be turned into joy. Not the sorrow to be taken away, and joy to be put in it's place, but the very sorrow which now grieves you shall be turned into joy. God not only takes away the bitterness and gives sweetness in it's place, but turns the bitterness into sweetness itself." Charles Spurgeon (on John 16:33)
