Hi all, bad news I'm afraid . . .
The church are insistent that we cannot meet there on Thursdays any more
- and as discussed at our last meeting I think the general feeling was
that 'we' would rather keep the day the same and switch locations.
To that end I've been chasing up the places we looked at before we moved
last time, and I'm waiting for three separate people to return calls - I
don't think any of them will be able to do so in time for us to make a
decision before this Thursday. I had hoped that we'd have good enough
weather to meet in a park - and that's still a possibility - but thought
I needed to let everyone know what was happening!
Does anyone have an indoor suggestion in case of bad weather?
Alternatively do 'we' have a preferred park if it cheers up? I think
most schools will have gone back by Thursday, so we should have some
peace and space!
I like the park by Julie Fisher's house - Lime tree(s?) park - huge sand
pit, large amount of play equipment, indoor play centre, or Southall
Park - which has a fake ruined fort, and some good play equipment, and
an indoor play centre, though I'm not sure about opening times.
Ravenscourt Park is also nice - sand pit, large paddling pool, toilets,
two areas with lots of play frames etc, and very obvious park rangers
who scare off nasty teenagers . . .I'm sure there are more around too
