This is the group for Hertfordshire Gay Outdoor Club, part of GOC UK.

The Gay Outdoor Club operates throughout the UK and provides a wide range of outdoor and indoor sports and recreational activities for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender men and women. These activities include walking, cycling, swimming, badminton, rock climbing, canoeing, caving, mountaineering, and skiing. GOC has over 1500 members and offers up to one hundred meets per month, in this country and overseas.

In Hertfordshire, the GOC walks for about 8 to 12 miles each month. Once or twice a year, it holds a cycle ride of about 15 to 20 miles.

Prospective members can join up to three events free of charge before the GOC expects to receive a subscription fee. This fee pays for insurance and a monthly publication. If you want to find out more about Herts GOC, please contact hertfordshiregoc@yahoo.co.uk.

Membership of this Yahoo! group is intentionally for members of the Gay Outdoor Club who have an interest in Hertfordshire. New members are welcome to apply to join the group, but should expect to meet the group at a walk before the application is approved!
