The Hertfordshire branch of the Taxpayers Alliance runs this resource base for activists throughout the UK.

The resources within the group include:

* a public calendar, for key dates in the Alliance's grassroots calendar;

* reports produced by the group (some of which the national TPA publishes);

* briefing notes (to help the lay activist understand the system);

* notes of Council meetings (to assist new activists understand the real workings of the system);

* a rudimentary CRM system (currently based on weblinks);

* a FOIA template letter;

* TPA-branded template letter;

* maps and logistics (for organising protests);

* presentations and marketing collateral for public recruitment and activist training.

* a strategy doc that sets out "job descriptions" for a range of activists, according to their interests.


In future years, the St Albans branch of the TPA aims to act as a trainer for all regional activists.

The Taxpayers Alliance is focusing on the inherent unjustness of Council Tax. The St Albans and Welwyn-Hatfield branches have recently met a number of local victims of Council Tax malice, one of whom has served time in prison.
