Welcome to the home educators' loop for Tyne and Wear! This is the officially recognised EO loop for the area, but it also serves Northumberland and County Durham. However, you do not have to be a member of EO to belong on this loop - all home educators are welcome here.

We are a group of ordinary families who are educating our children at home and who keep in touch for mutual support. We do this by chatting on the loop about anything relating to home education and by meeting up, both casually and at organised events.

You will find on this loop people who will share their home ed experience, files with ideas and resources, a fantastic array of links to useful web sites, details about the organised events and above all, friendship and support.

I hope you will find this loop a friendly 'place' and that it will help you do the brilliant job of educating your own children.
