Hello all, I am new to all this. I am seriously considering home
educating my 6 yr old daughter, Saskia. She is very bright and
naturally inquisitive - a trait which does not endear her to her school
who tell her constantly that she 'does not need to know' the answers to
her questions. I have the time and the resources (books I mean not
endless pots of money unfortunately!) and both my parents are teachers
so I feel confident that I could give her a better education. However,
I am not 100% sure how to go about it! I know the legal stuff but do
not want to follow any structured 'programme' as that is what I am
trying to get her out of. I want to follow her natural curiosity
wherever it leads, whilst being reassured that she is not 'behind' and
I don't want continual testing. Is there a middle way or am i chasing
rainbows? Thanks for any help.
