Hi There, can anyone help me?

I have just bought a 1999 honda D. and have spent £650 at the garage
to get it through the MOT, now it has developed another fault, but
can't afford to take it to the garage.

It has two new Avon tyres, but as I am riding the steering feels
restricted, as if it is on a rail road track, when I am at a
standstill, the steering has some resistance when I turn the steering
1/2 an inch left or right - is this because the tyres are new? When
I'm riding, the deauv, falls into the corners easily, but when I lean
left, the front wheel wants to turn right and when I turn right, it
wants to turn left. and if I run in a straight line, its hard to keep
the front wheel running straight.

Many thanks for any help you give me.
Dave

... ok. If they replaced these bearings for the mot however, they might have "settled in" and need readjusting. If it's a fault that just appeared and it was...

Thank you Geoff and thank you Mike The guy from the dealer said that he checked head bearings. And after I picked it up it only happened after 10-20 miles,...

Could you not take it back to the "dealer"? Put it up on the centre stand and get someone to push the back of the bike down so the front wheel is off the...

Stop faffing about. This is dangerous. Geoff is right - back to the dealer. Without getting angry, demand they look at it. You have rights. Geoff Norfolk...
