I`d keep running mine but I`ve bought a Vstrom and dont have room for both in
the garage! Otherwise I`m of the view that it will go for another 50K+
I`m not finding a massive difference between the 2 bikes. The DV is more
commuter friendly especially with the shaft but the Vstrom is smoother (but
newer), offers similair economy etc, doesn`t run out of puff as soon, is more
fun and better suited to the riding I do now BUT I will always have a soft spot
for the DV. Thought about the 700 but .....................
If your keeping yours all I`d say is regular oil changes and keep a check on the
steering head bearings and rear brake pivot (but I`m sure you dont need telling
any of that with 50K on the clock)
Regards
Russ

No idea, mine is a 2000 model with 50k on the clock and was offered 1400
part exchange at the end of last year. But if yours has made 95K I might
as well keep running it...

Hi everyone,
I`m thinking of selling my Red Deauville 2002 CBS version with 95K
miles on it but have no idea what to advertise it for!
Lets face it that sort of mileage will scare a lot of people off
maintained by myself after 50K with oil changes every 5-6K.
Used mainly for commuting 100-odd mile round trips every day. Tall
screen and weather guards fitted for hands and fitted. Runs fine but
due a carb balance. Overall very good for age although I have noticed
it has recently started depositing a few drops of oil on the ground
when parked up after a ride.
Anyone got an idea on value?
Cheers
Russ
