Hello all.

I am not what you call a 'born again rider' even though I am 63 I have
been riding on and off since my teenage years (the days before crash
helmets)but I am now the proud owner of a rather old but nice bike, it
is on a V plate and has got 30k on the clock. Its a black Deauville with
full service history and a full 12 months mot.

Can anyone give me any hints on safe riding, riding styles and what
problems to look out for on the older bike of this make, (Iam assurred
that it has not been used for courier work and that the shaft bearings
ore ok).

I pick it up from the dealer on Saturday 14th and it will be the first
time on a bike for 5 years,(my last bike was the K7 750/4 which was
near mint condition)I could not ride anymore due to neck problems, but
following a successful operation to have plastic discs inserted in my
neck in 2006, I can now get back on the road.

Look forward to any replies. Graham.
