You could also try to raise the mixture a bit. 1/2 turn more out
should do the trick, to make it a bit more rideable and even at low
RPMs. The idle-screw (one for each carb) is brass-made, without screw-
head. Turn in anticlockwise to raise the mixture. Not sure what the
standard is on your bike (I have a 2003 model with catalysator, so it
is a bit different), maybe others here can advise.
The Deauvilles runs very lean as standard, and a bit more doesnt do
any harm.
