This is a UK specific support & advice group for people with Joint Hypermobility Syndrome. JHS (or HMS) is a genetic condition where joints are over flexible (lax) and cause pain.
Surprisingly there are many hypermobile people in the world – we call them double jointed - but most have little or no pain (or they think that the pain they have is normal). This mailing list is for the much smaller subset who, due to their Hypermobility, suffer with this syndrome. This group is for them.
This group is for Hypermobile people and their families who live in the UK and aims to allow us to discuss our problems and share knowledge of the patchy help and support available in the UK. If you are UK based and want to learn, chat, discuss things, please join both this group and the world group (see link below).
If you don't live in the UK please consider joining the world group at:

Please also consider joining the UK based Hypermobility Syndrome Association (The HMSA), at: http://www.hypermobility.org/
Foe our safety, the group membership is hidden from public view and e-mail harvesting systems. Attachments which can contain virus programs are not allowed.
