Hi everyone!
Sorry for the long break! Summer courses were hectic and then I've just moved to
Japan so
I've been really busy with a new school, new flat, new food, new metro lines...
and a long list
of Kanji to learn! I hope the new term is going well for everyone.
Just to re-cap, at the start of summer there were some really interesting posts
about Piers'
thesis, and the teaching methodology of Ojellin. These two theoretical
standpoints seem
contradictory in some ways. I hope we can discuss this further.
September's edition of Speak Out! contained, as always, a wealth of fascinating
articles. I look
forward to some interesting discussion of the contents.
Finally, don't forget that there's a PronSIG event in Ankara in November. The
deadline for
proposals is the 24th of September, so hurry if you want to give a presentation!
So, please post on this site, tell us what you're up to, discuss the articles in
Speak Out, or
just say 'hi'!
All the best,
Alex.
