Not to throw a spanner in your works or anything, but chill out
people. A lot of you seem to be going into overdrive about a game that
you've only heard the slightest about. Through a press release
nontheless. Now, this seems to me a slight over reaction. Give GR a
chance and let's see what they come up with.
Besides, no one is forcing you to buy it, and as you say, you still
have Imperium.
Another thing is: Space Marines and aliens as archetypes? True,
they're veary characterful images of the 40k universe (which, as some
has mentioned, is by far GW's richest environment) but that doesn't
mean they have to be included as first-pick character choices. As I
see it, that's exactly what we should want to avoid. The general feel
of 40k is that both aliens and Space Marines are distant figures of
immense power that the ordinary citizen of the Imperium will never
encounter. If this is so then we should be pleased that GR is taking
their precautions towards these types of characters.
