Touch Rugby is a minimal contact mixed-gender sport played on a pitch half the size of a rugby field. The game emphasises running, passing, catching and teamwork. Touch doesn't involve the heavy/full contact of traditional rugby and as a result is popular with men and women. It appeals to a wide range of ages and abilities, from juniors to masters and from slight to heavy builds. Touch Rugby is the fastest growing mixed gender team sport in the world today.

It is a competitive sport with a good social scene.

In April 2010, touch rugby training started in Inverness with the aim of forming teams and a league before August 2010. We train every Monday at 6pm on the communal rugby pitches next to Highland RFC in Bught Park.

We play to internationally recognised Federation of International Touch (FIT) rules.

The initial league will be for ages 18+ (15+ if accompanied by an adult). A junior league may be started depending on interest. If you would like us to let you know about any developments with this, please email us at the address below.
