[James H Reeve Appreciation Club] Re: the word...

He was shoved sideways in the most inappropriate way. A message
left on his answerphone which he didn't get in time...turns up to
present the show as usual and finds someone else preparing to do the
programme. He carries on as normal. Ends up with the programme
controller coming into the station at 9.30pm on a Sunday night -
half an hour before the show is due to start - to explain what's
going on, which is basically that JHR's contract is not being
renewed.

What a shit: trying to sack someone by leaving an answerphone
message. I am so glad I am totally out of range of Key 103; I shall
never listen to them or their associated stations ever again. And I
am de-tuning "The Hits" from my TV. Wankers.

I'm glad that punk (the programme controller) has been demoted to
Preston, a shitty hellhole of a pretend city serving a county that
is a hillbilly shadow of its former self, featuring a parochial
commercial radion station which hasn't known any glory since the
days before Allan Beswick was trounced both intellectually and in
the ratings by James H Reeve in the adjoining county.

James presented the country's best radio programme: replacing him
with some wacky identikit nonce is just a total travesty. James
ought to have been snapped up by a national talk station years ago,
preferably one prefixed by the letters "BBC".

His mistreatment may be down to the fact that he doesn't conform too easily and won't give an inch when he feels he is right. Damn fine qualities if you ask...

Just found this group tonight. Hello. Funny enough I emailed James last night to suggest (again) he does a podcast, and quoted Martin Kelner as an example. The...
