bloody hell...

Trawlling over the net after a few beers for somnethin on the
broadcast genius that was James H, and I find loads of sites...
Saw him on that cobbled together footy show last week (why don't
Granada just bung a film on after 11?) and wanted to find out where
he's got to.

So, where's he got to?

Simon, I read your potted history - I think Reeve started on
Piccadilly in '1985 at least (I know he also had the earlier "killer
queen" stint too) - he and Phil Wood were on in succession week
nights (Jimbo first) sometimes Chris Evans sat in for Wood (he was a
twat even back then!) Lost track of Revve on Piccadilly/Key 103
around 87 - he was still on, though as you say Wood may have moved on
by then. I blame Reeve for screwing up my O-levels!

He was at Talk Sport in late 90s/2000 and Century seemingly at the
same time and also around then he did a short-lived footy show for R5
Live with the Doc (not 606). Other than that I know nowt. Read the
website with the spy message tale (lol - hope its true) and remember
the old callers: Irate Albert, Jimmy White and his camp voice etc...

Re: the Piccadilly tape - is it the "Thoughts of JHR"? If so, any
chance of a copy?

My fave JHR moment: He was hosting a local election debate with some
local council cadidtes in the studio and began (sic):

"I would like to stress that total impartiality wil be observed at
all times - due to some painkilling injections"

Keep up the good work.
S.
