Hi Nicola,
Thank you so much for you amazingly quick and oh-so-easy-to-understand
reply!
I live just outside Grantham, so driving to Lincoln would be a bit of a
distance for me, especially when my husband works all the time and is not
overly helpful with my little one!
I wonder if anyone would want to set up something this way? There must be
someone who wants to meet up a bit nearer me ...
Trace.

Hi Tracey,
Welcome to the group. We're really not that scary so feel free to post
away. Its so quiet on here at the moment.
Worsted weight is aran or maybe even a bit lighter than, between double
knit and aran. I would use aran because especially for a bag, it wouldn't
matter if the gauge was a little bit off. What is the name of the yarn it
recommends to use? I have made a couple of felted bags out of noro kureyon.
Lots of the american bag patterns use cascade 220 and that is available at
Get Knitted now. I've ordered from them before and they are really good.
They are based in Bristol and their website is www.getknitted.com
Where do you live? I drive into Lincoln from between Louth and Grimsby so
its a bit of a hike but there aren't any groups closer so I don't mind the
drive really and it gives me an excuse to have an afternoon to myself and do
a bit of shopping while I'm there.
Nic
