Only two of us this week, Keith and Andrew. So not really enough for any
decent games. If you fancy playing games next tuesday could you send me an
e-mail. If I don't hear anything I'll give it a miss.
We tried three games:
Katzenjammer Blues is about bidding for cards to build sets, It's not
great with two players, but should
be fun with four or five.
Hive is a two player abstract game. The goal is to maneuver your pieces to
surround an opponents
queen before he manages to surround yours.
Pueblo is a block stacking game where the aim is to conceal your blocks to
minimise your score.
Keith benefitted from the home advantage (they're his games) and won the
majority of them. The most interesting was probably Hive which we played
three times. By the third game we were just beginning to appreciate the
games complexity and use tricks like immobilising the opponents pieces.
