PERIKLES LEAGUE TABLE UPDATED
After Game 8 of 12 October 2008:
DaveP…......B13...S21...C15....Total49…...1st…..5 points
AllanM......B12...S20...C10....Total42…...2nd...3 points
HannesS.....B10...S12...C18....Total40……..3rd...2 points
DaveB........B4....S3...C19....Total13…....4th...1 point
DaveP and HannesS were plaing Perikles for the first time – it didn't
seem to hamper them.
DaveP won, and rocketed into the league in second place, with 5
points from 1 game. Interestingly, if AllanM had won, which he
nearly did, HE would have risen to second place instead, with 10
points from 3 games.
SO: the updated "fun league" looks like this:
Player.........Points.....Played....Prev Rating...Rating
1. BobR.........16.........4.........2.750........3.200
2. DaveP…....... 5……........1……..…....NA.......…2.500

In case you are interested, the formula is: points divided by games
played + 1. And when it's a tie on rating, most recent result ranks
higher, then on points scored in last game, otherwise alphabetical.
Points are 5,3,2,1 for a 4-player-game, and 6,4,3,2,1 for a 5-player-
game.
It is still volatile. E.g.if BobR were to come last in the next 4-
player game, he would drop to 2.833; if, say, StuartF won that game,
he would go to 3.000 and top the league.
