Hopefully you'll receive this mailout less times than our previous tournament
annoucements... A bit last-minute getting this one organised, but the deadline
for David's first-round funding is looming.
 
On 22nd August [elg] will host a Charity Doubles Tournament on behalf of David
Shepherd. David is raising money for Marie Curie Cancer Care and aims to collect
enough so that he can join his partner, Dianne, in a Camel Trail across the
Sahara Desert in November. Feel free to email us with questions. Same location:

On 22 August, [elg] are hosting Sahara Trek, a Doubles Tournament for Warhammer
Fantasy and Warhammer 40,000. Features include:

[*]Points Limits - WFB: 1,500; 40k: 1,000
[*]Charity re-rolls!
[*]Bespoke rules
[*]3 rounds of play, each within a 2-hour time limit
[*]Prizes for Overall Champion, Best General, and Players’ Choice for Best
Army awards
[*]Hopefully some 'event-specific' dice
[*]Possibly a raffle too
[*]Lunch & donuts!

Please note that you should be 14 or older to participate.(*) Tickets are
limited and available in advance costing £20 per team of two players. This
covers food for both players, the tournament, certificates, and a couple of
potential surprises in the Prize Pool!
 
(*) - 14-17 please bring or come with someone [18+] who can vouch for you, or
play with you. Yes, this is a lower age that our normal tournaments.
