EDITORIAL
The hectic swirl of the last few weeks has been ... quite refreshing
actually. I've managed to get some games in - and started to enjoy
old rivalries (faux though the rivalry is).

For me, the club is a great way to meet new people and try out new
games. Recent weeks have seen me getting excited about 'beer &
pretzel' games again. These are ideal for between games or if your
game ends early. If you see one about to kick off, just head up to
the group and ask for a seat; i've found folks to be more than
willing to get someone else in on the game. Try starting the game
with a round of names, before a round of drinks, mind!

MEETINGS
It's a good time to let folks know that the club will NOT be open
for a couple of weeks around the festive period. We feel that
family, rather than friends, should be celebrated at certain times,
so we will be closed on 27th December 2006 & 3rd January 2007.

The final meeting of 2006 will be 20th December; the first of 2007
the 10th January.

IT'S YOUR CLUB
We're announcing an EGM on the 13th December. This will be a short
[half-hour] meeting to introduce the members to each other, to the
organisers, and to our collective future. We've had some great ideas
that we'd like to put into practice, but more importantly: WE'D LOVE
TO HEAR YOURS. It is, after all, OUR club. Let's share.
