Subject: BVV Update

Hi,

Please find the following update.

Our next meeting:

Tues 25th July 2006 - 7:30 pm (in our new permanent venue at Carrs Lane Church Centre)
Food for Free - talk by Luke Neal

Luke works at Martineau Gardens in Edgbaston and will be talking about the wide variety of wildfood that can be obtained free from hedgerows and wasteland.  Information will also be given on safety and the legality of taking 'hedgerow' food.

Your help is greatly appreciated and we really look forward to your support at Carrs Lane this month.

Please come along.

Catering is being provided by Rooty Frooty's!

The attached letter was sent to our postal members and is for distribution.  Please print it off and circulate it.  A copy is shown below for those that cannot open attachments.

We also have a poster for circulation too - please e-mail back requesting it and we will send you one straight back!

Best wishes,

STOP PRESS!

NEW VENUE & NEW PROGRAMME for BVV

At Carrs Lane Church Centre, Birmingham

We want to let you know the exciting news about our new venue.  As the numbers attending our meetings can sometimes be in excess of the capacity of our previous venue, we have now arranged to hold our meetings at the Carrs Lane Church Centre, Birmingham B4 7SX.  This is opposite Moor Street Station, close to many bus stops and a short walk from New Street Station.  (www.carrslane.co.uk has a good map and transport directions).  There is a multi-storey car park in Albert Street, with car parks on the other side of the Queensway, adjoining Fazeley Street.  There is also parking in side streets around the Bordesley Street, Allison Street area, which is free after 6:30 pm.

Doors open at 6:00 pm and meetings start at 7:30 pm PROMPT.  Entry costs £2 and meals cost £6.60.  If you would also like to come for the meal/social time please arrive at 6:30 pm when food is served.  Tables are cleared at 7:15 pm.  Meals must be booked in advance by phoning 0121 353 2442 no later than the Friday before the meeting.  We are pleased to announce that food will be provided by ROOTY FROOTY’S.

Please support us on 25 July at our first meeting in our new venue.

Food for Free - talk by Luke Neal  Luke works at Martineau Gardens in Edgbaston and will be talking about the wide variety of wildfood that can be obtained free from hedgerows and wasteland.  Information will also be given on safety and the legality of taking 'hedgerow' food.

We look forward to welcoming you to our meetings, which continue to be on 4th Tuesday each month.  Please see our website www.bvv.org.uk  for details of future meetings.

We need new members on our Committee.  If you would like to be involved, or would like to nominate someone please let us know.  From September we need a new Secretary and Treasurer/Cashier.  It is possible for people to do a job share.  We also need people who have lots of enthusiasm and their own special skills to contribute.  Even if you don’t wish to be on the Committee we are also looking for people willing to help with the running of meetings, or organising a range of events.
