This is the first time I've emailed this group so please obviously ignore if
you're not interested.
I've developed some software (written in Visual Basic 6 and Microsoft
Access) which enables an experienced physics teachers to create related
"learning objects". I've called the package "KEPLER = Knowledge Environment
for Physics Learning and Evaluation of pedagogical Relationships". A novice
teachers can investigate the learning objects in order to trace through the
various relationships between information.

For example a diagram of a circuit might lead to information about the
underlying equations and perhaps the scientist who developed such concepts.

The user may investigate a diagram in order to discover various "hotspots"
which appear on particular parts of the diagram.

It's only a prototype and I've yet to test it properly. What I was hoping is
that anyone concerned with teacher training might find it of some use in
communicating Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) to novice teachers.

If anyone's interested I could send more details - and perhaps bundled
software (hence requiring just Microsoft Access) via email or CDROM.
