I have recently discovered a completely new form of the periodic table.
I place hydrogen among the halogens. This has been done by many others
previously.
My reason for doing so is the gaining of a new perfect triad in the sense of
atomic number triads.
I then rearrange the table so that the first column on the left is headed by
hydrogen among the halogens. I thereby obtain an added bonus of two periods of
8,
followed by 2 periods of 18 elements etc. Every single period without fail,
repeats, unlike
in the conventional medium-long form in which the first very short period of 2
elements
is anomalous.
The table is posted on Mark Leach's excellent PT website at
http://www.meta-synthesis.com/webbook/35_pt/pt.html
There is also a link to another site where I have deposited a pre-print of an
article to explain this new table in detail. Comments welcome.
Happy New Year

"An absolutely gorgeous book. I put it on my bedside table and then stayed up
half the night reading it - it is immensely readable."
