Lecturer in Science Education
This post will be available from 1 January 2008
or as soon as possible thereafter. You will be
based in the School's Centre for Studies in
Science and Mathematics Education (CSSME), one of
the foremost international centres for research,
development work and teaching in science
education. You will take the leading
organisational, teaching and developmental role
for the Science PGCE course as a whole and also
be in charge of the chemistry programme. The
course is already well established, with
excellent teaching resources, and the teaching
component received the highest grade in the most
recent full Ofsted inspection. You will also be
expected to develop as an active researcher and
to contribute to research in an appropriate area
of the School's work.
You should possess relevant experience and
qualifications, including successful experience
of teaching science in a Secondary school, with
chemistry up to A level.
University Grade 8 (£33,779 - £40,335 p.a.)
