i learnt to swim in ware priory lido. it was then one of three in the area. Hartham was roofed in 1980's welwyn garden city closed in 1998.
what is wrong with leaving one such facility untouched. it is enjoyed by all in the summer.it is massively popular.
incidentally trying to modify it is nothing new. we were involved with the protests at attempted closure in the 70s when the indoor school pool (fanshawe) was opened to the public.
