Andy Hoines has recently done some research on the tragic death of a 15 year old, Enrico Sidoli, at Parliament Hill Lido in London on 8 July 1976. It would appear that the boy was held under the water by some other youths.
This was on a day when the lido was packed with approximately 1100 people and an estimated 150 swimmers in the water. It resulted in a successful legal claim from the family claiming recompense from the GLC for negligence.
