DROITWICH SPA LIDO

Latest news is that a packed Town Meeting on 31 March demanded that a Parish Poll is held at which 3 questions will be put before the people of Droitwich Spa

The questions are-
i)      Do you wish to see your sea-bathing lido restored to its former splendour and fully operational?

ii) If the Lido could only be kept operational with subsidy from our council tax, would you be prepared for up to an average of £1 to be added to the monthly tax instalment of each Droitwich household?

iii) Do you oppose Wychavon District Council’s proposal to have the lido site demolished and incorporated into the lido park?

The Poll will be held on 28 April and we hope that an emphatic positive result will give us further ammunition in our campaign to reopen the Lido that cannot be ignored by the District Council.
