The Club

Well, we've been up and running since late 2006 and theres now over 180 members (not all are registered here), although not everyone gets actively involved. The initial concept was to use the club mainly as a place were local surfers can get to know one another, plan surf trips together, share local knowledge,plan events, answer one anothers questions, maybe even advertise second hand gear or whatever.

The other primary aim was to negate any formal rules, theres no membership fee and no commitee or any of that stuff and members are encouraged to come up with their own ideas as to what they'd like to see happen in the club.

Events so far have included surf comps, an annual get together down the beach for a BBQ/surf and a film premier.

It's working well and as more members feel free to suggest their own ideas its becoming a more dynamic club to be involved in....
