Dear colleagues,
I need a DETAILED laboratory protocol for synthesis of analytical amounts of
conjugated linoleic
acid mixture. Normally it is obtained by alcali isomerization at ~ 180oC of
FREE linoleic acid. Is
the procedure also applicable to FAME or TAG (e.g. sunflower oil) samples?
Unfortunately I don't have the AOCS methods which are often cited.
Can you give me any ideas how to perform isomerization in the lab?
