Hi,
I have some questions on lipid derivatization and separation :
1. Does anyone ever use phenyltrimethylammonium hydroxide as derivatisation
agent? Have you any indication on possible advantages and disadvantages of
using it?
2. Same question for trimethylsulfonium hydroxide.
3. Is anyone already try the technique of TLC blotting (Far Eastern) for at
the same time transferring neutral and polar lipids? If yes, what are or
were your experimental conditions (blotting reagent, time of transfer, etc)?
4. Is anyone already try to derivatize the lipids separated by TLC directly
on plate? If yes, what are or were your experimental conditions for doing
that and is there possible disadvantages?
5. Finally, does anyone know a TLC one-dimensional system to clearly
separation neutral lipids, glycolipids and phospholipids?
Thank you very much for all your informations,
