I suggest you to apply the extraction recipe adapted
for bacteria and described in the following paper :
Lewis T et al., J Microbiol meth 2000, 43, 107-116.
According to that work, you may also determine the
total FA content but if you want to separate lipid
classes, you may follow one of the efficient
procedures described in my web site
(www.cyberlipid.org). Thus, you are sure to obtain
good results with excellent recoveries.
