It's a fun, friendly, untraditional show (though we've started a few
traditions of our own!). There a few pictures and videos of the New
Year Fun Live 2006 on the grossly outdated Live show picture section
on my website (http://www.westwoodmemorialstables.co.uk/wmslive.html).
Yes, there is a Dalek on the table in one picture. :) Stablemate
showjumping is a must, even with the water hazards and non-equine
competitors! :)

As a plus point, Rothersthorpe is only about 1 1/2 hours drive from
Maidenhead, you might find a little something to spend your christmas
money on and you have loads of friendly people to feed those leftover
cake/pies/chocolates to! :D

fantastic show. John & I had a great day - it was a really well run event, and a
very relaxed and enjoyable show. It was especially great to see some old friends

A quick thanks to all who came to the show - I was absolutely exhausted!!! Hope
everyone enjoyed themselves and apologies for the rather rushed last couple of
hours, I did not realise we had to be out of the hall quite so quickly until
near the end of the show.
I look forward to seeing you all again next year.

After all the live show questionnaires were completed and returned (or as many
as I was going to get) I have finally got round to booking the hall for the
CASMES live show.

It will be held Feb 20th in the Osbournby village hall. Thats the same hall the
MHU live was in this year.

Entry fee will be £12.50 for members and £14 for non-members.
Members will have priority but non-members are welcome to put their names
forward now and any remaining places after members have had a chance to enter
will be allocated on a first come-first served basis. We can fit around 18-20
exhibitors in the hall so hopefully will be able to accomodate most people who
wish to attend.

I am trying to get judges for whole sections to avoid having to recruit judges
ad hoc on the day or just before the show. Anyone that wishes to judge an entire
section will be given a reduced entry fee and some free raffle tickets.
Sections are

Custom performance (judge already allocated)
OF performance (This refers to the tack, riders and props not the horses and is
designed to be a bit of fun for OF collectors and novice performance
exhibitors.)

Performance classes in each section are
1) Show ridden (english)
2) western pleasure/equitation
3) showmanship/inhand
4) costume (any, including fancy dress)

OF plastic
CM plastic
CTF (OF and Custom)
Factory custom (for OF animal artistry models, OF HA chinas, stone extreme
makeovers, windswept variations etc, breyer swish-tail variations etc)
Commercial resin/china OF and custom (ONLY for resins and chinas sold in high
street shops or by big-name brands - includes Border fine arts, leonardo,
northlight, hagen-renaker, sandicast, breyer resins etc)
Artist resin/china

All sections are open to coloured and spotted horses as well as solid coloured
mares and stallions that fall into the category of "breeding stock" (eg, QH, TB,
Arabian, minimal sabino, non-characteristic paints and appies etc)

There is also a class for coloured/spotted donkeys and mules and there will be
fun classes run at lunch time, including a fantasy/decorator class.

Raffle prize donations and sponsors also very welcome.

Entries will only be accepted when accompanied by payment in full. Non-members
will be put on a waiting list and then when entries open will be sent an email
notifying them that they have a place which will be held for two weeks to give
them a chance to pay their entry fee.



Okey dokey, off to post this to all the other groups and add it to the live show
calendar.

Okay, subject to the hall being available, I am looking at Saturday, 15th May
2010 as that appears to be a date suitable to most people and avoids the Bank
Holidays and two major County shows.

Great idea! I'd be interested providing it's not on any of the bank
holiday weekends.... unless it's really near Derby. :)

It would be in North Shropshire Suna, about a couple of miles from the main A5
trunk road and not too far away from the motorways either. Travel Lodges etc are
also within reasonable distance as I would recommend any long distance
travellers to come up the night before.
Okay does anyone have a preference for which weekend in May? Obviously this will
depend if the hall is available for a particular date and I don't want to pick
the ones that fall on Bank Holidays either for obvious reasons :)
