just to let anyone who's interested know that the Isle of Dogs Ring-
billed Gull is back to it's old reliable ways, I've seen it 4 times out
of 4 so far, this weekend should provide ideal viewing conditions with
low tides on both Sat and Sun mornings, an hour either side of 10 am
should prove productive, from the end of Glenaffric Avenue take the
footpath left of the slipway, after about 70 yards there is a raised
area fenced off with spiked green railings, the ringer is usually on
the foreshore here and showed down to 10 yards on Sept 1st. Nearby
Mudchute Farm has produced a few typical migrants so far and has a
small population of Monk Parakeets.

looked for the ring-billed gull on Isle of Dogs saturday and sunday, but although the tide was right i had no luck,lots of rowers on the river so they might...

As "our" Ring-billed Gull is now in it's tenth calendar year (it was first found by Des Mckenzie on November 23rd 1996)does anybody know of any longer staying...

... of ... Don't know about the UK's longest staying (most regularly returning) bird but for anyone who wants a squint there are four shots of 'our' bird here...
