I don't know if anyone else keeps a mammal list but I guess there must be a few
who do. I didn't really want to pay £25 for a book version of a checklist so I
managed to find a new version online which I downloaded. Unfortunately it only
had scientific names but I've now added English names and deleted some of the
extinct species. I did think about adding the distribution but with over 5000
species that's something I don't have time for.

I've cleaned it up a bit to use a checklist so if anyone wants a copy (in
Excel), let me know (a-self@...) and I'll email it out. And if anyone wants
to add the distribution (some or all) then even better!

Andrew

hi Andrew,

I do, so count me in, and thanks (not for distribution though, I'll let you know
when I've a couple of years to spare). Deleting extinctions -  now there's a
morbid pursuit if ever there was one....

Mark
