I've been lucky enough to draw a place in this project, and have decided to use
my hour of fame to tell people about how wonderful, and essential to life as we
know it, fungi are. I'll be doing this with banners, a megaphone, fancy dress,
and hopefully some like-minded people around the bottom of the plinth to help me
out.

fungi on local radio, but am keen to get the message out, and recruit help and
support from anyone interested! I'm doing this with the aid of Prof Lynne Boddy
(new president of the BMS), who was my PhD supervisor.

and hopefully many more people will be there. If anyone wants to join us, or has
ideas of how to promote the event or get media coverage so we can tell as many
people as possible about fungi, please get in touch!

Hi Martha,
How brave and fantastic. I wish I could make it along to give you some support
but unfortunaly won't be able to get along there for that time, will anybody?
I wish you all the luck with it.
Best Wishes
