As my delightful (?!) son has said, it really is not very long before we're out there!  now 5 days and counting...  am wondering if it's worth getting to Ilfracombe very early and trying to sneak onto the first boat out - I do understand why they do the "double headers", but it's very frustrating to have to hang around when I really can't wait to get there.

 

Anyway, I should be able to email daily updates to the group on our adventures while we're there, maybe even photos, although that might prove to be a bit beyond the technology I have available to me (lots of it, just not very connected up at the moment).

 

I have to say I echo Simon's impressed-ness with June for writing a book - I've recently started writing a novel and it's very slow going at the moment (haven't even finished the first chapter yet).  I'm hoping to find some time to write on Lundy, but I suspect I'll be busy doing more interesting things - although the long range weather forecast is for lots of rain, so maybe we'll be stuck inside for at least some of the week.

I was trying to work out yesterday how often Simon and Blake have been to Lundy - I think it's 8 times so far.  Then I tried to work out how often I've been and gave up...  I think it's now over 20 times in the last 6 years.  Not enough!
