I have some ideas about that now, so it would be good to write another fic covering a bit of this ground. Certainly I think it's time Harry finds out a bit more about what his family are up to :-)
>>Second, because I'd love to see you write about the flame on Harry's face when he realizes that his father and uncle-figures (including the asexual Peter) have been powering spells off of him and Ron having sex... <<
You know, he might not be all that bothered. He's had such an odd life already and his perspective on sex is pretty enlightened, that he might see it as perfectly
logical ....
*pauses to consider*
Of course, it would also be tremendous fun to have a conversation where he overreacts a bit *grin*

Well ... I am still working on ideas for this, I must admit :-) But I'm hoping to do a Ron POV story which might clarify things a little.
>>I can't help but wonder how Dumbledore would know to trust Ron, since Dumbledore isn't (apparently) headmaster at Hogwarts, and in fact seems to be out of general circulation. Have the boys met Dumbledore?<<
No, they haven't. Dumbledore isn't the headmaster in this universe (obviously) and he's doing something which most
people don't know about. James et al are working with him. As to how he knows there's no problem with Ron - well, he doesn't know Ron specifically, but he does know the Weasley family and I think he knows about Ron's birthmark and horoscope.
>>It's unclear to me whether Voldemort has been (somehow) defeated in this universe, or if he simply works very much behind the scenes, as Dumbledore apparently does.<<
I'm pretty sure Voldemort was defeated during the 'first' war in this universe. Again, I'm still working on this though :-) Given that Dumbledore has never been headmaster, though, I'm considering the possibility that Voldemort never existed as a Dark Lord in his own right, and that what we're looking at in this universe is a world where Grindelwald wasn't defeated in 1945 but rather later. In which case there could be a slightly different Tom Riddle out there - and that could be quite interesting
to work with.
>> I'd also love to see more conversation where we hear from other people, not connected to James's group, what they think about Dumbledore.<<
In a way you've already had this, because much of the information on Dumbledore and the Marauders comes from a conversation Mr. and Mrs. Weasley had in "Natural Magic", but I know what you mean. You'd like a larger cast *grin*

Yes - this is the summer after they leave Hogwarts and Harry and Ron are currently waiting to find out the results of their NEWTs.
Hopefully I'll get some more written in this universe at some point ... writer's block permitting ;-)
