Hey Martha,
Better late than never...
This was just lovely. Your eye for detail and beautifully descriptive
writing really brought this to life for me. Yule at the coven sounds
wonderful. Everyone together, telling stories and playing games. It
was interesting seeing some of the customs from Ron's point of view,
and it was nice that he felt so comfortable and at home there in such
a short time.
Even though a little has been revealed about Ron to Harry's family, it
feels as though it has simply deepened the mystery surrounding his
birthmark and its significance. There'll be a lot of researching going
on, I imagine! And it seems too much of a coincidence that Granny
Prewett suddenly appears at that point, having been conspicuously
absent... But then, she is a seer, right?
It was wonderful to get a little more in the Checkmate universe.
Thanks so much for sharing it!
Matty.
