Let's be honest here - the chatroom was going down the shitter long
before Yahoo shut it down.

It ended up full of chavs, kiddies and people with no social skills
(and very little spelling ability).

I for one am glad it's gone the way of the Dodo.

To be fair I met a lot of good people on chat (and Ginge!) and still
keep in touch with some of them, even 10 years after I started
chatting, but we've all grown out of it and moved on to other things -
jobs, families etc. I doubt that, even if they happened, any meets
would be able to capture the atmosphere we used to have.
