a1*****************************Fans of The young and the restless will never
forget the first kiss Billy and Mac shared while dancing at the prom. This year,
walnut grove academy's senior prom has a suprize treat as well a performance by
the popular UK boy band A1. CBS.com cought up with a1 band members Paul Marazzi,
Ben Adams, Mark Read and Christian Ingebrigtsen to chat about their Y&R
experience*********************************************CBS.com: How did all this
come about?CRISTIAN: The show needed a band for the prom scene and they
contacted columbia records. (The show producers) woundered if ( Columbia
records) had any new bands coming out that could be suitable for this program.
They suggested us because our new single "Caught in the middle" is being played
here on the radio now quite a bit. So what better way to intoduce us to the
American market than to be on this show. the biggest soap? So we were really
happy to be invited. CBS.com: Did you know anything about The young and the
restless?BEN: We do a lot of interviews internationally and there was this one
guy from Turkey who was obsessed whit The young and the restless. The moment I
mentioned that we were going to be on the show that was it. He Would'nt talk
about the album He wouldn't talk about anything to do whit me apart from The
young and the restless. So the show obviously has some good fans around the
world. CBS.com: Did u get to catch a few episodes before coming here today?MARK:
Unfortunately not. We came in blind and we just had to draw our inspiration from
the atmosphere. But everyone's been so friendly here. We've met a lot of the
cast. We've met some really pretty girld that are on the cast, so it's been
really nice (smiles) and donea little bit of acting as well.BEN: The funny thing
is put us on the front of an audience no matter how big it is or how small, and
give us some instruments or a microphone and we're the most comfortable people u
could meet. Take us out of that territory and drop us into somthing that is
slightly diffrent, it is a bit of an adjustment. I got more nervous saying the
one line todau that i'v been about three years.MARK: Singing just comes
naturally to us. Acting is probably somthing we could afford to work a little
more. But it was good fun and they seemed happy with what we did. CBS.com:
Performing the way you do, in a way must be similar to acting?BEN: I think to
certain extent, but on stage you're more of yourself. You can do whatever you
want on the spur of the moment. There's no set routine, no set lines, no set
place u have to be. Also in a sence you're performing a script that ypu've
written yourself because you're doing the lyrics that you've written. It's
easier. I think when people write words and u have words to say that u wouldn't
normally say in your everyday life, taht's when it becomes difficult. CBS.com:
Did you get to choose which song you performed on the show?PAUL: ( The
producers) has a few songs aand looked over them and chose themselves. So we're
doing the song that they thought would have suited the script and the fact that
it's the prom. ( They chose) "Caught in the middle" because they knoe it's
becoming a hit in America. CBS.com: Did you write that song?BEN: Paul (and i
did). But we're performing a song tomorrow that Christian and Mark wrote and
then we're doing another song that Mark and myself wrote as well. We're actually
getting three tracks on the show. which is going to be great. The cool thing is
that they said that the songs we're performing actually do sort of depict a lot
of the storylines within the show. The song "Caught in the middle" is about a
guy that has left his previous relationship and he'd with a new girl (But) he
can't stop thinking about his last girlfriend, so he's kind of caught in the
middle. CBS.com: There are similarities with the Raul and Brittany
storylineMARK: Exactly. I actually thought Lauren (Woodland) was extremely
beautiful.PAUL: Mark couldn't look her straight in the eyesMARK: No, if i would
have looked her in the eyes i would have fallen in deep. CBS.com: So where does
your inspiration come from when writing songs?BEN: It comes from everywere
really. I think the best songs are often written about personal experience, even
if you have to exaggerate things a little bit to make them sound like an
interesting story. But i think that's were the best songs come from. CBS.com:
How do you all know each other?BEN: We met about four years ago. Mark and (i)
were in a band together. Christian and Paul knew each other before and we were
all basically just haning around the London music scene trying to form various
bands. Then we started writing songs together for about a year untill we finally
got our record deal whit Columbia records. CBS.com: Do you enjoy Los
Angeles?CHRISTIAN: We do. We usually love the weather as well but the last few
days has been a bit (overcast).MARK: ( Jokes) We brought some (clouds) over with
us.CHRISTIAN: But we spent some time recording our second album over here. We
love L.A. We love the whole vibe over here and the rest of the people are really
friendly. CBS.com: Did any of you ever go to the prom?BEN: I don't think they
have proms in England.CHRISTIAN: I've been to three proms in the U.S. CBS.com:
They don't have proms in England?PAUL: No we have school discos. But they aren't
special. They have them all the time.MARK: We have school discos and we don't
have the prom king or queen. There's no glamour about it like in the U.S.

lala is paul, tinky winky is christian, Po is ben and Dipzy is Mark. Why???
because Paul have a smaller voice that sounds like Lala. Mark attitude is like
Dipzy very carring to evryone. Ben is Po because He is the Baby of the band and
Po is the baby of the Teletubbies. Tinkywinky is Christian Because he looks like
the Older in the band. A very sensitive type of Person Acdg. to The Ladz... what

hey everyone. basicly i've just created two petitions (technicly one but two
locations) and it would be really great if you guys all signed them both.
reason why there's two is cos one has a dued date and one doesnt so in other
